General Information on the Personal Data Protection Law

The Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (hereinafter referred to as “KVKK”) was adopted on March 24, 2016, and published in the Official Gazette dated April 7, 2016, numbered 29677. Certain provisions of the KVKK came into force on the date of publication, while others entered into force on October 7, 2016.

Information as Data Controller

In accordance with Law No. 6698 and in our capacity as the Data Controller, your personal data may be recorded, stored, updated, disclosed/transferred to third parties where permitted by legislation, classified, and processed in the ways specified under the KVKK, within the framework explained on this page.

How Your Personal Data May Be Processed

In accordance with KVKK No. 6698, your personal data shared with our company may be processed wholly or partially by automatic or non-automatic means, provided that it is part of any data recording system. This includes obtaining, recording, storing, modifying, reorganizing, and any other operations performed on data. All such actions are considered as “processing of personal data” under KVKK.

Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

• To fulfill the requirements of the services we provide to our customers in accordance with contractual and technological necessities, and to improve our products and services;
• To record identity, address, and other necessary information for identifying transaction owners in compliance with Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce, Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection, and related regulations such as the Regulation on Service Providers and Intermediary Service Providers in Electronic Commerce and the Distance Contracts Regulation;
• To organize all records and documents that serve as the basis for transactions in electronic or physical form, especially within banking and electronic payment systems, and to comply with legal obligations regarding data retention, reporting, and information sharing;
• To provide information to public authorities such as prosecutors, courts, and relevant officials when required by law in matters of public security and legal disputes.

All data processing activities are carried out in compliance with KVKK and related secondary regulations.

Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred to third parties for the purposes stated above, including but not limited to our e-commerce infrastructure provider IdeaSoft Yazılım San. ve Tic. A.Ş., suppliers, cargo/shipping companies, business partners, and other domestic or international organizations with whom we cooperate as data processors.

Collection of Personal Data

Your personal data may be collected through:

• Our website and mobile applications (via forms including name, surname, ID number, address, phone number, email, user preferences, IP records, cookies, browsing duration and details, and location data);
• Sales and marketing departments, branches, suppliers, other sales channels, physical forms, business cards, digital marketing tools, and call centers;
• Direct interactions such as business relationships, job applications, offers, CVs, and similar means, in written, verbal, or electronic environments;
• Indirect sources such as websites, blogs, campaigns, surveys, social media platforms, e-newsletter interactions, publicly available databases, and shared profile information.

Personal Data Obtained Before KVKK

Personal data obtained lawfully before the enforcement date of KVKK (April 7, 2016) through memberships, permissions, purchases, or other means continue to be processed and stored in accordance with the conditions outlined in this policy.

Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

Your personal data may be transferred abroad, provided that it complies with KVKK and is limited to countries deemed to have adequate protection by the Personal Data Protection Board, for purposes aligned with contractual obligations.

Storage and Protection of Personal Data

Your personal data is stored confidentially within our company’s databases and systems in accordance with Article 12 of KVKK. It will not be shared with third parties except as required by legal obligations or as stated in this policy. Necessary technical and administrative measures are taken to prevent unauthorized access and unlawful processing.

In case of any data breach, the situation will be promptly reported to the Personal Data Protection Authority in accordance with legal requirements.

Accuracy and Currency of Personal Data

Under Article 4 of KVKK, we are obliged to keep personal data accurate and up to date. Therefore, customers are required to provide correct information and update their data via our website or applications when necessary.

Rights of the Data Subject

Under Article 11 of KVKK, personal data owners have the right to:

• Learn whether their personal data is processed;
• Request information if it has been processed;
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used appropriately;
• Know the third parties to whom data is transferred domestically or abroad;
• Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
• Request deletion or destruction of personal data under the conditions set out in Article 7;
• Request notification of such corrections or deletions to third parties;
• Object to outcomes arising from automated processing;
• Request compensation for damages due to unlawful processing.

Under the Objarca brand, İpek Bökeer Şahinoğlu operates as a sole proprietorship registered with Küçükyalı Tax Office (Tax No: 1860807013), located at Zümrütevler Mah. Eski Üsküdar Cad. Ural Sk. No:11-4, 34852 Maltepe / Istanbul, and acts as the Data Controller under KVKK. 

A Data Controller Representative will be appointed and announced in the Data Controllers Registry once the legal infrastructure is established.
